Project Jupyter is a non-profit, 100% open-source project (BSD-licensed) that has become the cornerstone of interactive data science in industry, research and education.

Funding the Jupyter Foundation ensures:

  • Continued technical advancement in a vendor-neutral way.
  • A stable backbone (human & technical) that supports industry and is a force multiplier for the open source community.
  • Direct engagement with the strategic direction of the project.

Membership Fees

As a member of the Linux Foundation, joining the Jupyter Foundation requires that you have at least a silver membership with the Linux Foundation. Associate Memberships

Associate Memberships are offered at no cost, but please note that an additional approval process is required. Once you complete the application through the “Submit Application” button above, you will receive a short questionnaire requesting more details about your organization and your goals for becoming an Associate Member of the Foundation
