Project Jupyter is a non-profit, 100% open-source project (BSD-licensed) that has become the cornerstone of interactive data science in industry, research and education.

Funding the Jupyter Foundation ensures:

  • Continued technical advancement in a vendor-neutral way.
  • A stable backbone (human & technical) that supports industry and is a force multiplier for the open source community.
  • Direct engagement with the strategic direction of the project.

Membership Fees

As a member of the Linux Foundation, joining the Jupyter Foundation requires that you have at least a silver membership with the Linux Foundation.
